Description
The most popular multi-purpose bandsaw blade in the carbon
group. These blades are black in colour and are used on vertical
and horizontal bandsaws in joiners shops, furniture factories,
steel fabricators and foundries.
Features
A one piece construction of chrome alloyed carbon steel. A
backing hardness of 28-35 Rc (flexible) and tooth tips of 64-67
Rc (hard). Precision milled teeth and a tooth set of 0.015"
(0.36mm)
Application
For cutting wood, plastics, non ferrous metals, cast iron
and mild steels. Flex back is fatigue resistant even at high bandspeeds
(max 15,000 feet per minute. 4,500 metres per minute). The type
of material to cut determines the bandspeed to select. Bi metal
has now replaced carbon for most metal sawing applications.
